Description
The Float E2 Mid-Volume Pack is designed for skiers and riders who want a lightweight, low-profile avalanche airbag that still carries all the essentials for a full day in the backcountry. Its streamlined shape makes it ideal for lift-accessed freeriding, heli laps, and shorter tours, while the waterproof-coated nylon exterior keeps your gear protected from winter conditions. The innovative Side Stash pocket lets you grab items like water or skins without removing your pack, an invaluable feature in avalanche terrain. Inside, you'll find a dedicated rescue tools compartment for fast shovel and probe access, plus a Back Stash zipper for radios and frequently used accessories. The molded cooling-fin back panel provides lasting comfort whether you’re touring, hiking, or riding.
Powered by the advanced Alpride E2 supercapacitor system, the 162-liter airbag inflates quickly, even in extreme cold, helping you stay closer to the surface and reducing head and neck trauma in an avalanche. The E2 system is TSA-approved, making it easy to travel with.

AA Batteries for Additional Deployments
In addition to the supercapacitor storage, you can install two AA batteries to allow for additional deployments in the field. The batteries also help keep the supercapacitors at full charge when not in use. AA alkaline batteries allow for one additional deployment and can keep the system charged for up to three months of normal use. AA lithium batteries allow for three additional deployments and can keep the system charged for up to five months of normal use.
The Float airbag system does not guarantee survival in an avalanche incident. Educate yourself, make good decisions, and know before you go.
